CASP is a Western Cape network of member organisations and concerned
individuals working to alleviate the plight of street children, youth,
adults and families. CASP offers an inclusive forum, promoting a spirit
of shared responsibility and co-operation with an action based
methodology of task teams, collective strategies, monthly meetings and
constructive lobbying. CASP strives to work with rather than for street
people. The purpose of CASP is therefore to:
Support the work of street people, member
organisations and other stakeholders.
Develop collective intervention, preventative
strategies and life-enhancing programmes and
projects for street people.
Protect street people from exploitation and abuse.
Make pertinent information and research available
and accessible to all.
Encourage constructive interaction between street
people organisations, local government, the general
public, business and street people.
